markpenders 22:30 Location: Phone Model: | Hi, just tried to view all my waypoints in GE and in Ozi, but it didn't work out. Probably some character in the waypoint-name messed up the KML-file and/or the .wpt file. Any thoughts? Mark.
Stephen 12:39 Location: Phone Model: | Hi Mark, You guessed it, the Google file export wasn't handling the '&' symbol correctly, and Oziexplorer didn't like the single Unix-style line-feeds - needed to be Windows-style Carriage Return/Line Feed pairs (I had only previously texted the Ozi export with MobiTrackPRO and not with Oziexplorer itself). Should be okay now - give it another try... Cheers, Stephen
markpenders 20:11 Location: Phone Model: | Stephen, First of all: happy new year! it works flawlessly for GE. For Ozi, you need to fiddle a bit with the waypoint size. If I export the waypoints in Ozi format, the waypoint shows up H_U_G_E in OE. When I manually set the waypoint size to (say) 6, it shows up "normal". Thanks for your prompt fix. Cheers, Mark.
Stephen 17:32 Location: Phone Model: | Hi Mark, Could you e-mail me an example WPT file as exported from this website, and a second file as exported from OziExplorer (after adjusting the waypoints to their correct size), so that I can see which values I need to alter in the TMJ export script. (I don't actually use OziExplorer myself - I originally wrote the ozi export so that the waypoints could be imported into MobiTrack!!) Cheers, Stephen (send it to the usual address - stephen (at) trackmyjourney dot co dot uk - cheers!)
markpenders 22:25 Location: Phone Model: | Stephen, you'll find the files in your mailbox. Mark.
Stephen 12:04 Location: Phone Model: | Hi Mark, Ok, try it again now - I've copied the formatting from your edited file so it should now display the same as this in Oziexplorer... Cheers, Stephen
markpenders 22:44 Location: Phone Model: | Stephen, still the same issue. If you need the files, just let me know. Nice markers in TMJ-mobile 0.4.5 by the way. Actually: when downloading via the phone and installing, I can keep the settings (as you indicated before). Cheers, Mark.
Stephen 16:08 Location: Phone Model: | Hi Mark, Try it once more - I think my references on the Ozi file format must be incorrect!! It should now generate the exact same file data as you sent to me... Good news about the upgrade settings!! Cheers, Stephen
markpenders 18:24 Location: Phone Model: | Stephen, now they're ok! Mark.
