Is there any way to convert Garmin .img files into a format that TMJ supports(vector or raster)?

Thanks!

One more thing.
I'm a bit confused as to how the whole cacheing thing goes.
Will loading an entire city(up to maximum zoom) onto a memory card as a .tmj file and then trying to view it via TMJ cause some major memory issues?
Or is the tmj file naturally split to avoid such disasters?

Once again, thanks.

Hi,

No, unfortunately the Garmin format is not compatible with TMJ.

As for the .tmj file, yes it is essentially a load of individual small image tiles stuck end-to-end into one file, so TMJ just loads 4 of these at a time, minimising the memory usage. So in theory the filesize is unlimited, however when creating the .tmj initially, the MapOrganiser needs a fair bit of RAM to handle large images, so this is more likely to be the limiting factor. (The largest map I've used myself is around 500 megapixels, in a 300Mb .tmj file)

Cheers,
Stephen

Thanks for the prompt response.

And most of all, thanks for creating such a great program!
