Admittedly the TMJ touchscreen functions might take a little getting used-to, but they seem to work reasonably well. Increasing the font size (Menu/Settings/Menu Font Size) makes the menus easier to navigate, although when used in landscape mode the largest setting doesn't fit too many menu items on-screen at once, so extra scrolling is required. The graphics rendering speed on the 5800 is surprisingly fast compared to any other phone that I've tried - 3D panning around the Vector Maps on screen [8] works well. I've noticed occasional glitches with downloading map tiles whillst connecting via WiFi - a tile download 'thread' can lock, resulting in missing tiles for a while. Seems to be okay via GPRS though, so I'm assuming a firmware issue. One other non-TMJ-related issue, but I certainly miss having a hardware keyboard, I think the 5800 would drive me mad if I had to use it all the time, so perhaps the N97 would be a preferable phone (it is essentially a 5800 with a slide-out keyboard). | |

Stephen 18:18 Location: Phone Model: | Hi Shchenka, I've had a look at the server logs for Nokia phones running software version 111.0+ (which seems to indicate Nokia Belle) and there are several that have successfully connected so I assume that it should run okay - I haven't had any reports to the contrary.
