hello, since yesterday evening, the software seems to have stopped working properly, and it always seems to say 0 satellites in use......i thought it might be because of cloud, but this morning is beautiful sunshine and it's still the same :s

is this because a trial period has ended or something? or is there a way to reset the whole app and settings etc? aybe that would kick-start it again?

also, the maps on page 6 still loa up, but an of the other pages and the aps are all blank now :s

any ideas?

if it's jsut the end of the trial, that's no probs, as i was going to buy the upgrade on payday (friday) anyways :)

Hi Gloris,

Is TMJ still connected successfully to your GPS device via bluetooth? Check the Text/GENERAL/GPS Status field (press [1] a few times) - it should say BT GPS Connected. If it does then check the next screen (GPS/WEB) - the GPS Data fields should continuously update to show the data being received from the GPS device. If this appears okay then it might be worth resetting the GPS device. This will depend on the model, but pulling the battery for a few seconds should do it. Restart then monitor the Gauges/Satelllites screen [7]. After a minute or so (whilst outside) the satellites should start to jump into place...

If the status is BT GPS Disconnected then try reconnecting via Menu/GPS/Bluetooth GPS/etc...

Any luck?

Cheers,
Stephen

ps: You *shouldn't* need to reset the entire app, though you can start it cleanly by pressing the [*] key on start-up, which clears the track and route from memory. (Sometimes if the recorded track is extremely long then this *may* have an effect, particularly on older handsets...)

Jolly good!

Ah yes, the Vector Maps have probably reached the end of the trial period so screens [4] and [5] will be empty. I've reset your account so you'll get a few more tiles displaying again (restart TMJ and Enable Web), but it wont be fully unlocked until after upgrading to the full version. Bring on Friday!! ;-)

Hello, This type of situation is one reason I would like to see two visual markers that are continuously displayed (or at user option). One would show GPS connection and the other Internet/Web Connection status. Colored icons for Not Connected, Searching for Connection, Connected.
I realize that there is a RED circled World icon when TMJ is downloading from the web , but that disappears when the download is finished and there is a very small red blinking dot in the lower right side of the display when there is a GPS connection. Unfortunately is is so small (Probably 3-4 pix in size ) that most people do not or cannot see it, especially in sunlight conditions. Red is usually referred to as a NOT color. Suggest RED= not connected, YELLOW =searching for connection, GREEN=Connected and maybe BLUE=Lost and attempting to reconnect.
